- Background and Early Life -

Born and raised in Guyana, Colle´ Kharis’ musical journey traces back to his childhood, where he would watch his father spin vinyl records on an old turntable. The melodies and rhythms of his father’s collection ignited a spark within him, inspiring him to experiment with music in innovative ways. This early exposure evolved into a lifelong passion, culminating in a captivating blend of genres and influences. In 1990, he and his family relocated to Brooklyn, New York.

After his move to New York, Colle' Kharis began to devote considerably more attention to his music career compared to his time in Guyana.
